David Klüttig was born in 1988. Because of his father Roland Klüttig, a classical guitar player, David was surrounded by music since his early age. He started to play the classical guitar at the age of 15. When he was 18 years old, he saw Bobby Guttenberger play a gypsy jazz gig and immediately got addicted to this style of music. Without a teacher he tried to understand the unique technique. He grabbed the old Django Reinhardt recordings from his father and learned his solos all day long. After a long period of playing only gypsy jazz he came back to the classical guitar. With the profound knowledge of theory he gained as a jazz musician he started to compose own songs. Today he regularly plays concerts in both styles, the classical and the gypsy jazz guitar. Most of the time he is playing with his own jazz trio “Drahtzieher” with Bobby Guttenberger on the rhythm guitar and Marcello Girardelli on the double bass. He played also with musicians like Lukas Bystricky, Lancy Falta, Denis Chang and Wawau Adler.

Welcome to my Shop. Here you can buy the scores and tabs of my own compositions. It is mostly classical guitar music with jazz influences but also gypsy jazz. Im trying to find my own way to notate all my songs. So if you find mistakes or if you have some tips for me, please contact me. For every score i will also upload a YouTube video, that will help you, to choose the songs, that you like and to learn them. If there are some difficult parts in a song, then feel free to change this parts or contact me, so i will give you an alternative. As it is much work to compose and notate all this music, i would be very happy, if you support me. I hope i can make you also happy with my music. Thank you!

Die Drahtzieher

The gypsy jazz trio “Die Drahtzieher” plays music in the style of Django Reinhardt. With own arrangements of old, new an own songs the three musicians show the big freedom that this style offers.
